A gutter system is a mandatory functional component of any building with a roof. Its purpose is to quickly collect, channel, and divert water from the roof: during rain, snowmelt, ice, condensate drainage from cooling systems, and so on. It is a modular structure that includes gutters, funnels, vertical pipes (pillars), drains, knee, connection details, holders, and more.

Depending on the material used, gutter systems can be made of metal or PVC.
